Join us for a reading series on and with Let this Radicalize You: Organizing and the Revolution of Reciprocal Care, by Kelly Hayes and Mariame Kaba.

Published in 2023 as equal parts inspiration, map, and guidebook, Let this Radicalize You is about imagining and organizing towards the liberatory frameworks we both need and deserve.

From movement-making to mutual aid, from collective action to collective care, and from burnout to rest and reciprocal repair, this reading series will explore and interrogate what it means to think, practice, and embody the work of organizing and of movement – as “the work of making place.”

The series will include four sessions, the first three of which will focus on specific chapters/sections of the book, and a final bonfire discussion to reflect on key themes – and walking forward with what we have learned.

Session 1 (Thursday 28 May 2026, 18:30 CEST): Reading Group on:

  • Introductions (Remaking the World + We Can Only Survive Together)
  • Chapter 2: Refusing to Abandon
  • Chapter 4: Think Like a Geographer

Session 2 (Tuesday 23 June 2026, 18:30 CEST): Reading Group on:

  • Chapter 5: Rejecting Cynicism and Building Broader Movements
  • Chapter 7: Don’t Pedestal Organizers
  • Chapter 9: Organizing Isn’t Matchmaking

Session 3 (TBC): Reading Group on:

  • Chapter 8: Hope and Grief Can Coexist
  • Chapter 10: Avoiding Burnout and Going the Distance

Session 4 (TBC): Bonfire Discussion

Reading material will be provided upon registering.

We encourage participants to read the text in advance and bring impressions/questions/critiques to the session. All are welcome to join, listen, and contribute.
