I am an aspiring Ph.D. scholar in the study of political memory and its role in nation-building in the post-colonial space, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia. My previous works include the study of legal history in the formation of the political memory of Malay Nationalism and the dynamic of Social Dominance Theory pertaining to Malaysia’s Affirmative Action policy in its public higher education institutions. Currently, on a gap year, I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2018 and received my Master’s degrees in Higher School of Economics (Russia) and Central European University (Austria) in 2020 and 2021 respectively.
