I am a PhD candidate in International Relations at Central European University. My research interests reside in the field of Critical and Feminist Security Studies, with a particular focus on corporeality, postcolonialism, and death and dead bodies. While my dissertation addresses dead body management in Turkey’s counterinsurgency campaign against Kurdish insurgents, I have conducted other research on Turkey’s settler colonialism in northern Syria, and postcolonial reading of the American and British media’s portrayal of the Rojava Revolution.
